| Dear Friend,
As I write, supporters around the globe are sharing stories about nonprofits like yours that are making a difference by fighting hunger and homelessness in their communities! GreatNonprofits has partnered with GuideStar, National Alliance to End Homelessness, National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth, We Are Visible, HomeAid and GOOD to launch the 2010 Food & Shelter Campaign. If your organization receives 10 positive reviews by November 30, you will be included on the Top-Rated Food & Shelter Nonprofits List and will receive significant exposure to donors and volunteers in the media and through our campaign partners during the holiday season. Check out your reviews: Visit www.greatnonprofits.org/organizations/reviews/philippine-vision-ministry **Tip: Click the button that reads “Staff-Claim Org” for more tools and tips on gathering reviews.** You still have plenty of time to reach out to your supporters and gather reviews. It’s free and easy! You can:
Also, be sure to follow us on Twitter @GreatNonprofits or find us on Facebook, where we will be tweeting and posting updates on the campaign. To give you a little taste of the inspirational stories that have been shared so far, here is what David had to say about Guiding Light Mission, an organization that offers guidance, food and shelter to the homeless: “I came to the Guiding Light Mission in July after a bout with a relapse from my addiction to crack cocaine. I was welcomed and allowed to first detox, a process to get some sleep and food during the initial phase of recovery. I then was given a responsibility. I became the morning cook at the mission. … As time went on and I attended the classes, groups, and meetings offered I began to receive some self respect that I had lost in the process on my addictive lifestyle. The Guiding Light Mission has helped me by allowing me the time and resources to get out of my self and allow God to work in and through me. I am currently attending Cornerstone College, working on my business degree.” Don’t miss your opportunity to shine! Join the 2010 Food & Shelter Campaign and gain the visibility you deserve. Click here to visit the campaign home page and get started. Good luck! |
